Peanuts Bar and Grill in Naperville

This is one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life I’m a grown adult 24 years old but I’m from Wisconsin and because of that my ID was denied this is an unjust treatment and I feel highly discriminated against I would never recommend a place like this to anyone I know or any family member anyone who has eaten here shouldn’t question ever visiting here in the future nothing about my experience was positive the bartender and wait staff were all rude and unreasonable and on top of that the food is overpriced and didn’t taste good

Drinks where eh.... but food was ok and we had an amazing waiter named Brandon overall good atmosphere ....

Just a little dive bar. Not much room inside. Outside looks like a parking lot but next to another outside area. The river is nice along with Walgreens across the way.

Enjoyed the beautiful weather that night over looking the river. Well taken care of from staff. Definite place to check out in the downtown area.

I’m very disappointed in Peanuts staff for using a leaf blower to clean their patio area. Staff caught on video blowing trash directly into the DuPage River. Rather than deal with the situation on their Facebook page, they just removed the reviews. Poor decisions. I can’t recommend this establishment for anyone based on the conduct of their staff and management.

ME AND MY FRIEND WAS TRYING TO ENJOY OUR NIGHT HERE BUT WAS NEVER GREETED, WAS SITTING DOWN FOR 15 MINS, A COUPLE AFTER US SAT DOWN AND GOT SERVICE. IT WAS PEOPLE WALKING AROUND STARRING AT US I GUESS BECAUSE WE WERE AFRICAN AMERICANS BUT WE WAS NEVER SERVED, WE BOTH LEFT AND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH GREAT SERVICE AND WE SHOULDN’T BE TREATED LIKE THAT. I WILL NOT EVER STEP FOOT BACK IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. HORRIBLE !!!!!

Rude waitstaff and friend got denied service for a WI ID

Just trying to get a drink while visiting a friend and got denied service for having an out of state id, which I have because I live... in another state. To make matters worse as we were leaving I noticed them just blowing their trash in to the river.

Drink specials were not too bad by Naperville standards. Waitress was cool

Although I am 23 years old, I wasn’t allowed in the establishment all because I have a Wisconsin ID... don’t waste your time at this place.

Great service. The servers do a great job and the place was packed this Friday night. 5 stars for the vibe and for the hardworking staff.

Saw them blowing trash into the river. Real cute. Won’t be giving them any more business and will also letting my friends know so they can chose better establishment.

I’ve gone to peanuts about 5 times the past 5 years and tonight was what reminded me to come back: They were awesome. Every step of the way! I actually came back for a second time after grabbing sushi down the street because the service was so good. I never write posts on google, but these guys were great. The man who was in charge of seating everyone was efficient, Covid sensitive, and hilarious. Our waiter was attentive and friendly! Very impressed by them!

I asked the waitress if they served redbull. She told me yes. I asked for a Tito's & Redbull only to receive what I believe to be Vodka & Monster.. i am highly disappointed. A bond between a patron & their bartender should be sacred. My trust in the bartender here is completely shattered. I wont return.

My niece and I were in Naperville for the day. It had been her lifelong dream to eat at a place namedafter her favorite comic strip, Peanuts. So, I made the drive from Cleveland Ohio to this establishment. Proudly, I was wearing an Anderson Varejao Cavaliers jersey, my usual Wednesday attire. The staff saw my jersey and, in a friendly way, asked if I was from The Cleve. Proudly I showed them my driver's license, complete with a Shaker Heights address. Their demeanor immediately changed and staff asked my niece if she was also from Ohio. She proudly said yes and sang the Ohio State fight song from start to finish.Two minutes later we find ourselves outside in the cold. Denied service for being from out of state. My nieces tears froze to her face in the below 0 temperatures, but not even that was as cold as the hearts of these employees. In solidarity with little Kayla, please don't patronize this restaurant.

Chill spot to hang out with friends. I love that I can bring my dogs on the patio. People love saying hi to them

I’ve never been to a restaurant that treated me as poorly as peanut bar and grill in Naperville Illinois I’m from Minnesota and I was visiting some friends in Chicago area we went out to this place and they denied my ID claiming they couldn’t read an out-of-state ID as some of you know the Minnesota license is one of the hardest to fake it has so many different layers of authentication and the wait staff at this bar and grill could not determine it was real and I was denied service I proceeded to go to the competition I highly recommend anywhere else in Naperville besides this place they have a history of terrible service racism and xenophobia never eat at peanut bar and grill in Naperville

PSA: This place may not be safe if you are not the same race, socioeconomic standing or if you are not a local. A lot of hate for a business in the SERVICE industry.

So on a Thursday me and the woman went out for a few cocktails as we both had a hard week with various things. So as we walked the streets of Naperville, we happened upon Peanuts which has an outdoor seating are along the river. Hidden away from the streets and the hustle and bustle of the streets. The river was quite calming. BONUS, you are allowed to smoke on the patio, which for some it is a necessity while consuming adult beverages. Anyways, our waitress was awesome. She never let a drink go empty without asking if we want another or something different. Well we thoroughly enjoyed our even there and it's definitely a place to stop by on you nights out for some great adult time.

Beautiful outside area where there are games and sometimes live music. It is quiet enough to talk to other people in your group too, which is often a welcon relief. They also have a pretty full menu and the food is great!

Fun bar, especially during warmer weather when the back patio is more enjoyable. Always friendly staff, good drinks, bags, good music, and great atmosphere. They’re also dog friendly on the patio which is super awesome!

I was denied today as a 24 year old from this bar. The bouncer didn’t except “out of state” ID’s. I am from Wisconsin and this is my first time in Naperville, let alone Illinois. I am extremely disappointed with the way my entry was handled today. It’s 2020, I am a brown male and I felt highly discriminated. I would never recommend this place to anyone in or out of Illinois. The terrible bouncer leads me to believe their food and drinks must also be awful. If I could leave less than 1 star. Absolutely disgraceful.

The first time I went to Peanuts I had dinner on the patio and brought my dog. The food was excellent and the waitress was very helpful. They even brought my dog a water bowl. I recently went to peanuts for drinks on a Saturday night and was delighted that the service was once again wonderful. The river is absolutely beautiful at night and it was a fun crowd.

Situated at the river border this is nice place to have a drink in the evening. The food is not exceptionel and not worth the visit.

A buddy of mine took us out touring the city of Naperville and we made a stop to this establishment. Being from Wisconsin, the bartender and staff denied us service for having Wisconsin ID’s and proceeded to lock the door behind us as we left. Very dissatisfied, with this place .

I cannot believe the service and discrimination i felt in this restaurant. My family and I travelled from all over to see each other for the first time in decades and this used to be our favorite place to go. They sent out the door because some of us weren’t from Illinois l. What makes it even worse is, the customers we’re all watching in amusement while they sipped their beers and wore their MAGA hats. So sickening, will never eat or recommend this place again

How lazy can you be?! I just watched a video showing the staff at peanuts bar and grill using a blower to send cups and trash into the river instead of picking it up. Makes you wonder what kind effort they have when it comes to a clean kitchen and preparing your food?

Peanuts has a premium location on the western branch of the dupage river in downtown Naperville. A wonderful place to enjoy a drink with lots of fun outdoor games out back. With a floating dock on the river during the summer, I think they could capture the growing number of kayakers coming down the river. What do you say, Peanuts?!

Staff is really friendly for the most part but when the staff significant other is threatening me tries to fight me and then follows me outside outsidee is absolutely unnecessary I have never been to a bar that was managed so poorly. i have somebody threatened me at that bar try and beat me up follow me outside to further escalated and they're still allowed back there i didn't do anything wrong at all screw this place and screw anybody that is a patron of it.

Vibe was ok. Prices were decent for Naperville. We sat on the back patio for drinks. Outdoor furniture was all plastic so it's definitely less uptight than other places you'll find.

They would not except my Id just because i don't live in Illinois.. I am 30! I tried to have a weekend away from the kids but then this happened. Next time ill just have margarita weekend at my place! Never again!!

The waitresses here are awesome! Super friendly and feels like you're hanging out with friends! The mojitos are so yummy! I can never find them when I go out and I was so glad they had them! It's one the river walk and could be so romantic for a date or a great place together to play bags with friends!

Awesome location in downtown Naperville. Outdoor patio is right on the river so we had a scenic view. Bags were available to play. Service was great! Drink specials too :)

Awesome local bar. Decent food at a decent price. During the summer there is a nice outdoor patio next to the river. They have live music once and a while.

One of the better bars in downtown Naperville! Always strong drinks and good service. Not to much space once it gets colder out but if you have a big enough party they can put you in a party room in back. Bonus- they have a bunch of arcade games you can play. Great spot to grabdrinks with some friends!

It's unacceptable to dump your own garbage in the river, this is not a solution! Irresponsible staff! Removing the reviews from Fb won't fix the problem.

Excellent prompt service, I left my laptop charger there and was travelling. They were closed the day I called, but they got my message. We talked for a few days, they confirmed they sent it after day two and by the time I got home, it was there. Such a relief, and I had a blast spending time here. I think I was so happy at closing time, I left a ten dollar tio Thanks a ton, guys!!
